Pocket-Style Wheel Arches For Toyota FJ

Bolder Stance And Real-World Protection For Your FJ

Slide these pocket-style wheel arches onto your FJ and it suddenly looks like it earned its presence — wider, tougher, and quietly purposeful. They don’t scream “bolt-on”; they read like a piece that belongs there, with that classic rivet-pocket attitude but without exposed hardware to snag or rust. More important than the look: they stop the tiny, annoying chips and dirt that collect along fender lips, doors, and rockers when you run bigger tires or take the FJ off the pavement.

What you actually get is simple and honest: molded ABS that feels rigid under your hand but won’t weigh the truck down, a wrinkle-black finish that hides scuffs and age, and shapes that follow the wheel opening so the profile looks integrated rather than pasted on. The plastic takes paint if you want a color-match — use a recommended plastic adhesion promoter and plastic primer, and you’ll get a factory-like result.

Think of them as useful flare pieces, not fashion pieces. They add real tire coverage so the gravel that used to pepper your rocker panels finds the flare first. On road trips and in winter, that means fewer touch-ups and less fretting at the service bay. If you like to camp, trail, or commute through salted streets, they pay for themselves in saved paint and fewer surprises.

Install isn’t rocket science but do it like someone who cares: wipe the fender clean, loosely fasten every piece so you can walk around and check alignment, then snug things down evenly. Factory mudflaps and splash guards usually have to come off for clearance. Depending on bumpers, liners, or previous mods, a tiny pilot hole or a small trim here and there might be needed — normal stuff. After the first 50–100 miles, especially if you’ve hit rough ground, go back and recheck the fasteners.

Care is low-effort: mild soap and water, a soft brush for texture, and avoid harsh solvents that can ruin the wrinkle finish. Small abrasions blend into the grain; if something deeper happens you can sand and touch up the area. Paint? Do it off the truck or mask carefully, let the paint cure fully, and you’ll have a clean, durable match.

What’s in the box: four molded ABS pieces (front left/right, rear left/right) plus the mounting hardware you need to get it done. Before you order, measure your fender openings and compare to the photos — aftermarket bumpers, inner liners, or previous flares can change fit. Want me to tighten this into a short marketplace blurb, a product-page headline, or a friendly install-card for the box? Tell me which and I’ll write it in the same voice.
